Vision

We believe in ethical, participatory, sustainable and science-based nature tourism and encourage ecotourism that benefits local entrepreneurs.

Nature in Mukteshwar is led by K. Ramnarayan and Dr. Ghazala Shahabuddin (CEDAR) in collaboration with Sanjay Sondhi and Anchal Sondhi (Titli Trust, Dehradun) and Uttarakhand Forest Department. Our work is financed under the project ‘Promotion of Nature-linked Tourism as a Rural Livelihood in Kumaon Himalaya’ supported by the Silent Foundation (Singapore) and DBS Bank (India). We are part of a consortium of naturalists, tourist guides and NGOs promoting nature and nature-linked livelihoods in the villages of Uttarakhand, with the support of the Uttarakhand Forest Department since 2012.
